Cycle ride leader

This course covers the skills necessary to lead group cycle rides on quiet roads and recognised cycle paths.

This course is for confident riders who want to lead group rides, often with novice or inexperienced riders who want to become more physically active or who are interested in exploring their local area by bike.

Duration: This is a one-day course (8 hours).

Cost: The cost of this course varies, depending on the venue/organiser, but is usually between £50-80 per person. We may be able to advise you about funding that can be used for this kind of training.

If you are part of a group or organisation, for £500 you can book your own bespoke course for a group of 5-8 people, at your own venue, on a date that suits you.

What do I need? You will need a roadworthy bike and clothing appropriate for the weather. You will also need to bring lunch/snacks unless the organiser is providing these.

It would be helpful to have some ideas of the sorts of rides you’ll be running after the course, and your target audience for these.
