I can remember years ago when I was going into the town one night. There was one of the pupils cycling on the road and she was doing everything perfectly and I was just so proud to see that.
She was so confident, happily cycling in amongst the traffic. That's why I like doing what I do.
I had so many wonderful conversations surrounding inclusive active travel and the liberating joy of cycling.
I spoke to students about their experiences, with parents of children with disabilities who were keen to find out more about adaptive bikes and with one man who lived in the local neighbourhood who had seen the event advertised and wanted to find out more about the types of adaptive bikes he could use.
Our new cycle stores were in regular use from day one, and feedback has been overwhelmingly positive with all spaces now booked.
Some residents have even said that they have been able to buy a bike for the first time, now they have somewhere to store it.
