Instructor videos

Bikeability Scotland training supports riders to make safe decisions and make journeys by bike.

Throughout the training, riders practice and develop ‘core functions’ which can be used in any environment. To help explain the core functions, and how they are used, Cycling Scotland has produced a series of five videos. These are intended for both instructors delivering sessions, and school children preparing for Bikeability Scotland training.

Introducing the core functions - Riding in control

Introducing the core functions - Making good and frequent observations

Introducing the core functions - Choosing and maintaining the most suitable riding positions

Introducing the core functions - Understanding priorities
