You can submit your nominations for the 2025 Cycling Champion of the Year Award now.
The public nomination process for the 2025 Cycling Champion of the Year Award is now open.
The award recognises an individual who has made a significant impact on cycling strategy, development or delivery at a local, regional or national level, bringing the environmental, health and social benefits of travelling by bike to more people.
Previous winners have included prominent cycle campaigners that have built support and influenced change, elected members that have shown leadership in introducing policies and measures to improve cycling, and innovators that have changed the cycling landscape in Scotland.
This award is presented in partnership between Cycling Scotland, Cycling UK, Scottish Cycling and Sustrans Scotland, and a panel representing the four partners will select the winner.
You’re welcome to submit multiple nominations and the panel will use the quality of the nomination, rather than the quantity, to inform its decision.
Submit your nomination by the closing date of midday, 16th June 2025.
In 2024, the Cycling Champion of the Year Award was presented to Neil Russell, founder and Managing Director of Stirlingshire-based community cycling organisation, Adaptive Riders Collective, celebrating his impact in bringing communities together through inclusive and accessible cycling.
