Fully funded workshops for S5 and S6 pupils
Based upon Cycling Scotland’s successful Driver CPC training course for truck and bus drivers, this course is specifically designed to support people who are learning to drive to develop safer driving habits on the roads.
The training is designed to be the perfect opportunity to step into the shoes of more vulnerable road users, including people on bikes. It aims to provide participants with a greater understanding of their needs.
The course content has been developed with input from a variety of road safety professionals and organisations. It focuses on the risks faced by people walking, wheeling and cycling, and the responsibilities of people driving as defined by The Highway Code. Presentations include real life video of both good and bad practice, with discussion opportunities.
