Annual Cycling Monitoring Report 2025
Data sources
From 2025 the Annual Cycling Monitoring Report will be published shortly after the publication of the most recent Transport and Travel in Scotland (TATIS), to include the latest available data on cycling. Therefore, when compared to the last edition of the Annual Cycling Monitoring Report, visualisations in the 2025 report will include data from TATIS 2023 and TATIS 2024.
In addition, the Scottish Household Survey has undergone a questionnaire review in 2024 and questions relating to cycling have been changed from being asked annually to biannually. This means that a small number of statistics in the 2025 report cannot be updated from 2024 report as the relevant questions were not asked in the latest round of the Scottish Household Survey and therefore do not appear in the latest TATIS publication.
The official statistics data in this report are from multiple sources including the Scottish Household Survey (SHS), Key Reported Road Casualties and Transport and Travel in Scotland research. All sources are listed below.
